Dark Crystal Tattoo

Is The Dark Crystal geeky? I don’t know. Is this tattoo awesome? Yes.

My name is J.C. and I have a tattoo of a couple of characters from the film “The Dark Crystal”. The tattoo was inked by my friend Amanda Wachob (Formerly of Blue Moon Tattoo in Buffalo, NY.) The tattoo took about 30 hours to complete, across 9 sessions. I wanted to eventually add more of the characters, with the intention of a full-sleeve, but Amanda has since moved 400 miles away. It happens.

Triforce Tuesday: Brandon’s Shoulder Triforce

Name: Brandon
Shop: Affinity Body Art
Artist: Crazy Dave
Story: Some of my earliest memories involve sitting down at my Grandparents house, hooking up my Aunt’s Nintendo, and doing battle with an array of creatures as Link in “The Legend of Zelda” – in effort to recapture my childhood, it seemed only fitting that I pay homage to the series that kept me entertained and my imagination captivated for years. And after saving Hyrule for the 1,000th time, I figured it was only appropriate that I assume my role as the “Hero of Time.”

Triforce Tuesday is the result of everybody sending in triforce related tattoos. They’re popular and I want to showcase some of the better ones. If you’ve got a triforce related tattoo, send it in and see if you make the cut for Triforce Tuesday.

Ben’s Koopa Troopa Foot Tattoo

my sweet Koopa Troopa Tattoo! Post me please!! <3

Ben writes in:

My name is Ben Hostetler, I got this tattoo a few years ago at an Atomic Tattoo branch in Tampa, Florida. I got an original Nintendo when they first came out back in the late 80’s as a Christmas present, and fell in love with Mario Bros. I beat the game for the first time at the age of 5, which was a major moment in my life at the time haha!
I’ve had a great appreciation for turtles my entire life, and for the last 7 years I have been rehabilitating turtles that I find in chlorinated pools during my career as a Pool Technician, and releasing them back into the wild when they are healthy. This was my inspiration for my Koopa Troopa tattoo!! My love for turtles, and gaming!

A Teaholic Tat

Barry sent in his inky dedication to something that is also one of my favorite things. The molecule shown is theanine, an amino acid that they say is supposed to reduce stress and improve your mood. And by they, I mean people selling drinks packed with it. But it’s naturally found in tea, primarily green teas.

Barry wrote in to tell us,

I’ve been addicted to tea since I could avoid third-degree burns from the kettle, so it wasn’t hard when it came to get my first ink. I don’t just drink my own weight in it, I also love the history, the culture, new blends, the cake, the paraphernalia, and the chemistry too.

Tattoo was done by Steve, who used to work at Tribal Body Art in Edinburgh.

A Swirly Triforce Tuesday

It’s time once again for Triforce Tuesday! I know, it’s been awhile. Me and the Princess were spending some uh…. quality time together.

But we’re back, this time with Katie and her Triforce tattoo. She says she got it done at Dark Angel Tattoo in Belfast. Like many other Triforcers, she says it represents her love of Zelda ever since she was a child.

Triforce Tuesday is the result of everybody sending in triforce related tattoos. They’re popular and I want to showcase some of the better ones. If you’ve got a triforce related tattoo, send it in and see if you make the cut for Triforce Tuesday.

I got Ramona so I wouldnt need another girl in my life because theres always one on my arm, plus I just love the Scott Pilgrim artwork.

Halo and Scott Pilgrim On One Man!

I got the shotgun spree tattoo from Halo 3 because it was zombie weekend on Halo and I said if I got over 20 or so shotgun spree medals I’d get the tattoo, I got way more than 20.

The shotgun spree is a little….shoddy, ;) but I like its imperfections.
I love all kinds of nerdy and geeky tattoos and Im glad I found your website and hope to part of it.
The Shotgun Spree tattoo was done by my friend Steven Justice
The Ramona Flowers was done at Boney Joes in zelienople
